IAGeo Ltd is the trading arm of the International Association of Geoanalysts. It was incorporated on 18th November 2004 under the UK Companies Act 1985 as company number 5290703. Its issued shared capital is one ordinary share with a notional value of £1, currently held by Phil Potts, Immediate Past president of the IAG.
IAGeo Ltd was formed as a legal entity to enable the IAG to enter into commercial contracts and to keep any financial transactions separate from the normal business of the IAG, thus protecting members’ subscriptions and the Association’s funds. Its main role at present is to operate the contract with Wiley-Blackwell for the publication of Geostandards and Geoanalytical Research. It is also the vehicle through which the IAG’s high quality CRMs and other materials are made available to members and the wider geoanalytical community at modest cost.
